Our Story

Temple Village is a private residential village of 39 homes on 2.8 hectares (about 6.9 acres) in the hills of Pejeng, just north of Ubud, Bali. The Petanu River and a second river run along the land. The site is about 4 km from Ubud β€” close enough for daily needs, far enough that the town noise stays behind. The village is taking shape as a place where home, community, and land belong to the same vision. It grew out of Temple of Radiance, a global leadership and tantra retreat organisation that has hosted 350+ events for 15,000+ participants across 16 countries. Temple Village is meant to turn what used to be a temporary gathering into the environment people live in every day. Shared ground includes two practice halls (Shakti and Shiva shalas) for workshops, retreat, and ceremony; a community hub and cafe for co-working, meals, and resident-led workshops; and a riverside spa with steam dome, sauna, and hot and cold plunges. Two rivers sit on the edge of the land. A water temple at the river remains part of the site’s spiritual life. Homes are tropical, temple-form villas oriented for light, airflow, and jungle views: 1-bed (88 sqm) for one person or a couple; 2-bed (144 sqm); 3-bed (164 sqm). Each type includes en-suite baths, walk-in wardrobes, a meditation space, pool, and garden. Larger homes add a campfire area. Houses are designed for privacy while staying connected to the village. Land is zoned P3 Plantation, which limits overdevelopment. Ownership is a 30-year leasehold registered by notarised deed through PT Temple Village Bali (an Indonesian PMA company), with an option to extend another 30 years. An optional on-site rental and management program can run the villa when the owner is away. Development partner is With Grace Group (Bali), whose Sanctuary Villas project completed 11 homes in 15 months. This listing is from the project site, not resident interviews. Joining means requesting a villa presentation and buying a leasehold home, not applying to a cooperative.

Lifestyle Notes

Daily life is meant to hold the practices people first meet at Temple of Radiance events. Shakti and Shiva shalas sit steps from the homes for workshops, retreat, and ceremony. The hub and cafe is for co-working, meals, and resident workshops. Riverside spa: steam dome, sauna, hot and cold plunges. Two rivers on the boundary. Retreat hosting in shared spaces is part of the pitch.

Give facilitators, families, and people who want a different daily life a permanent base in Pejeng β€” private homes, shared shalas, and a riverside village held by the same spiritual and design vision.
