Our Story
Harmony Village is a 27-household multigenerational cohousing neighborhood on 5.5 acres at 1001 Cottonwood Circle in Golden, Colorado β where the plains meet the Front Range, framed by North and South Table Mountain. Residents first met in 1992, took land in 1994, broke ground in late 1995, and finished homes by May 1997. Santa Feβstyle townhomes (about 1,000β3,500 sq ft, 1β5 bedrooms) cluster on car-free pedestrian paths around a Common House with a commercial kitchen, dining, playroom, craft and fitness rooms, two guest bedrooms, and a hot tub. Outdoor shared ground includes gardens, a fruit orchard, greenhouse, playgrounds, a treehouse, composting, bees, and a chicken coop. Homes were built to then-high envelope standards (R-30 walls, R-50 roofs). Downtown Golden, Clear Creek Trail, schools, and Colorado School of Mines are within walking distance; Denver is about 15 minutes east. Ownership is private townhomes with owner-controlled resale and resident-run common facilities. Tours and an interest list run through the official site when capacity allows. Optional shared meals and work. Not a shared-income commune.
