Our Story
Gratitude Village Brighton is a forming mixed-income, zero-energy cohousing community on 7.812 acres at the corner of S 34th Ave and E Bromley Lane in Brighton, Adams County — Front Range plains with Denver and DIA in reach. Gratitude Villages, Inc. (dba Gratitude Village Colorado), a Colorado 501(c)(3) (EIN 33-2499522), closed on the land on 19 August 2026. The plan is roughly 40–60 accessible homes: smaller 600–800 sq ft units tied to a Common House, attached multiplexes, and cottage-style duplexes, with at least one-third and up to one-half of homes meant to stay permanently affordable through subsidies, deed restrictions, and community-land-trust partnerships. Design goals: Passive House–certifiable dwellings, LEED-certifiable common buildings, on-site generation to cover community energy, xeriscape and permaculture gardens, greenhouse, maker space, playground, dog park, and a cottonwood grove. This row is the Brighton site only — not a second “West Denver” search that predates the land closing. Status is forming (land owned; homes not yet occupied). Visitors are welcome at info sessions and work days; founding members are being recruited. Not a shared-income commune.
