Our Story

Founded 1994 on 329 mountain acres southeast of Asheville / Black Mountain, NC (5 Consensus Circle, 28711). About 75 adults and 25 children; plan for 150 people on 56 homesites. HOA holds common land; neighborhoods are co-ops or LLCs. Off-grid power, natural building, farms, Council Hall. School of Integrated Living runs education. Open to new members. Helene recovery is part of current life.
